OPPO confirmed through a poster that both the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro will feature an identical rear camera setup led by a 200MP main camera. The setup also includes a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a smart LED flash unit.
The ultrawide upgrade is significant. The Reno 15 shipped with just an 8MP ultrawide sensor so the jump to 50MP represents a meaningful improvement for this part of the lineup.
On the front, users will get a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera. OPPO has not yet shared exact sensor details for either model. The fine print on the official poster notes that camera hardware may vary between the two devices despite the shared megapixel figures.
An OPPO smartphone carrying the model number PMM110 has appeared on Geekbench. The listing reveals 12GB RAM, Android 16 out of the box and a MediaTek chipset with a prime core clocked at 3.40GHz. Based on these specifications, reports suggest the device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 or 8550 processor.
The Reno 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display while the standard Reno 16 is tipped to come with a more compact 6.3-inch panel.
The Reno 16 series is expected to make its UAE debut next month. OPPO is also expected to release a Reno 16C and Reno 16 Pro Mini model specifically for the UAE market. Full pricing and remaining specifications will be confirmed at the official launch event.
