Orders for Tesla’s new Model Y L Premium model have been officially opened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is a three-row version of the Model Y with seating for six. The extended wheelbase version of the car has been priced at AED 224,990, excluding VAT, but customers ordering now will have to wait till November 2026 to receive their deliveries.

Extended Wheelbase Creates More Practical Cabin

Compared with the standard five-seat Model Y, the long-wheelbase Premium variant gets a wheelbase extended by 150 mm. The SUV is also 179 mm longer overall. The additional space allows for a 2+2+2 seating layout along with second-row captain’s chairs and a third row.

The firm has reworked the body design of the vehicle for improved headroom, along with an extension of the rear doors and quarter glass for better access to the third row of seats. Several updates focus on improving passenger comfort.

The second-row captain's chairs feature heating, ventilation, eight-way power adjustment, power armrests, and reclining functions. The third row includes power-reclining seats, climate controls, and USB charging ports.

Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup delivering a claimed 681 km WLTP driving range. The SUV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 201 km/h.

Performance Remains Strong

Tesla also claims the SUV offers up to 2,539 liters of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded. Even with all six seats occupied, the luggage area can accommodate two large suitcases and a carry-on suitcase.

The Model Y L Premium also features adaptive suspension and various driver assistance features such as Autosteer, Traffic-Aware Cruise Control, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Full Self-Driving (Supervised) hardware is included; however, feature availability remains subject to regulatory approval. Although orders are currently open throughout the United Arab Emirates, deliveries will commence from November 2026.
