XPENG has opened pre-orders in the UAE for its two flagship SUVs, the GX and G9L, with prices starting at AED 259,000. Both models use the company's Kunpeng range-extender powertrain and are launching across 11 markets in the Middle East and Africa.
GX Flagship Edition is priced at AED 299,000, while the G9L carries a starting pre-sale price of AED 259,000. The announcement came during XPENG's Dubai Brand Night event. The company also reported more than 4,000 confirmed GX orders across the MEA region, including 800 from the UAE, before customer deliveries begin.
XPENG has positioned the GX as a premium SUV focused on comfort, privacy and space. Its three-row cabin features a power-folding third row and can accommodate six adults alongside six 24-inch suitcases. The G9L targets families and outdoor users. It features rear-wheel steering of up to 15 degrees, allowing a turning radius of less than 5.5 metres.
Both SUVs share several premium features. These include an 88-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 21.4-inch 3K rear screen and dual-zone refrigerators. Their cabins also feature Nappa leather and zero-gravity seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions.
XPENG says the G9L completed 192 crash tests as part of its global safety development program. The company designed it to meet the requirements of four global five-star safety ratings.

The Kunpeng system uses an electric motor to drive the wheels, while an onboard petrol engine generates electricity when required. XPENG says this setup combines electric driving characteristics with greater flexibility on longer journeys.
Both SUVs offer a claimed combined range of up to 1,210 km under the NEDC testing cycle. Their 800V architecture and 5C charging technology can take the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 10.7 minutes where compatible fast charging is available.
XPENG also highlighted a GX journey from the UAE to Oman covering 1,231 km without recharging. The company plans to expand its MEA presence to more than 20 countries and regions by 2027, supported by over 100 sales and service outlets.
