Alpha Dhabi Holding signed an agreement to commit USD 1 billion, or about Dh3.67 billion, to Alpha Wave III, a global investment fund managed by Alpha Wave Global. The Abu Dhabi-listed group announced the commitment on Monday, subject to applicable approvals.

The move gives Alpha Dhabi broader access to artificial intelligence companies and other high-growth businesses. It also extends the group’s strategy of building exposure to innovation-led sectors through specialist investment platforms.

Focus on AI Growth

Alpha Wave III will invest globally in artificial intelligence and companies developing or applying transformative technologies. The fund is designed to capture long-term growth opportunities across the technology landscape.

Alpha Dhabi said the commitment would improve portfolio diversification and support attractive risk-adjusted returns over time. The group expects value creation through distributions and exits across the fund’s life.

Alpha Dhabi plans to fund the new commitment using cash distributions reinvested from Alpha Wave Ventures II and its existing resources. It will deploy capital gradually, in line with capital calls and the fund’s investment programme.

Leadership View

Hamad Al Ameri, managing director and group CEO of Alpha Dhabi Holding, said the commitment builds on the group’s earlier participation in Alpha Wave Ventures II. He said it broadens access to AI and innovation-led opportunities while supporting diversification and long-term value creation.

Al Ameri added that the investment reflects Alpha Dhabi’s disciplined approach to allocating capital to opportunities that can create enduring value for shareholders. Alpha Dhabi will recognise the financial impact over time. The outcome will depend on the timing of capital deployment and the performance and valuation of the fund’s underlying investments.

The group said it would make further disclosures as required under applicable laws and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange rules.
