Apple is offering payments to some iPhone users in the US as part of a USD 250 million settlement linked to its Siri features. Eligible customers could receive at least USD 25 for each qualifying iPhone, with the payment reaching up to USD 95.

The settlement covers people who bought certain iPhone models between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The case relates to claims that Apple promoted new Siri features that were not delivered as expected. Apple denied any wrongdoing. The settlement does not mean the company admitted liability.

Which iPhones Qualify for the Settlement?

The settlement covers seven iPhone models. They are the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16e. The settlement is only for customers in the US. The phone must have been bought for personal or work use. Devices purchased for resale are not covered.

The case is linked to Apple's plans for a more advanced Siri. Apple had shown new Siri features at WWDC 2024. These features included better understanding of personal information and stronger links with apps. The updated Siri features were later released with iOS 27.

How Can iPhone Users File a Claim?

Eligible customers for a refund can file their claim on the settlement site. The last date for filing a claim is December 21, 2026. Customers will have to furnish their personal information, such as name, address, and telephone number. Also, they will have to furnish the serial number of the eligible iPhone.

The serial number can be obtained by opening Settings > General > About on the iPhone. Customers without the serial number can furnish their Apple Account email address and the telephone number associated with their iPhone. Eligible customers will also receive an email from Apple containing the claim ID and PIN. These details are not mandatory to file a claim online.

One claim will be needed per qualifying iPhone. Payments will be made only when there is a final court approval of the settlement. The final approval hearing will take place on February 24, 2027. Any appeal could delay the payments.
