Azizi Developments has announced a Dh75 billion investment to build 151 hotels in the UAE. This move is expected to create 75,000 new jobs and add 60,000 room keys to the country’s growing tourism sector. Most of these projects will be located in Dubai, showing strong faith in the local economy despite current US-Israel-Iran war.

The project is led by the company’s hospitality branch, Azizi Hospitality. The plan includes a mix of 100 four-star hotels and 50 five-star hotels. The crown jewel of the collection is a single seven-star hotel. This luxury property will be located inside Burj Azizi, a new skyscraper on Sheikh Zayed Road that aims to be the second-tallest building in the world.

Expanding Dubai’s Tourism Reach

Founder and Chairman Mirwais Azizi praised Dubai as a stable, top-tier global hub. He noted that the city’s unique opportunities make it the ideal place for this project. The multi-billion dirham investment aligns with Dubai’s goal to become a top global tourism hub. The city wants to reach over 160,000 keys to host 25 million visitors.

Group CEO Farhad Azizi confirmed that eight hotels are under construction right now. The company recently held a ground-breaking ceremony for a new five-star hotel located in the Azizi Riviera community within Mohammed Bin Rashid City. This is just one of ten projects currently in the design or development stages.

Supporting the Future of Hospitality

Beyond building hotels, the group is also focused on training people to work in them. They plan to start the Azizi Hospitality Academy. This school will help train the next generation of professionals in UAE. The country has focused heavily to grow its hospitality industry in recent years. Although Dubai has received majority of interest from investors, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah are also working on building new cultural and entertainment districts to hit their own multi-million visitor targets by 2030. By adding these 151 hotels, Azizi Developments is playing a major part in reaching these national goals.
