Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Glasses have resurfaced online, this time via leaked screenshots of the Galaxy Glasses Manager app. This leak provides a clear look at Samsung’s first-ever Android XR-based smart glasses, which include a charging case, a user interface, and several AI-enabled features ahead of their planned launch at the end of this month.
The images reportedly leaked by SammyGuru indicate that Samsung has almost finished developing the companion app for the gadget.
One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the charging case. The compact black case resembles the charging cases used for wireless earbuds and appears to support wireless charging for the glasses. An LED indicator on the exterior shows the charging and pairing status.
The onboarding process in the app asks users to remove a protective film from the nose bridge before switching on the glasses with the power slider on the left arm. Users then need to place the glasses inside the charging case until the LED starts blinking, indicating the device is ready to pair with a smartphone.
The app also includes options to import photos and videos captured using the glasses. Other features include AI assistant settings and a ‘Find My Glasses’ tool that can help users locate the wearable if it is misplaced.
The latest leak also suggests a deeper connection to Samsung’s expanding wearable ecosystem. References in the app suggest that the Galaxy Glasses will work with Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Rings via gestures. Furthermore, there have been reports of a potential Gemini AI integration that would enable voice commands to control the glasses.
While Samsung has not yet officially confirmed such features, the leak suggests the company is developing an integrated ecosystem for its wearable products.
Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy Glasses yet, but the emergence of a relatively polished companion app suggests the company is close to launching the product. The Galaxy Glasses are expected to launch alongside the company's upcoming foldable smartphones and wearables at the coming Galaxy Unpacked event.
