Apple has confirmed that iOS 27 will arrive on 14th September. The update will be a free download for all eligible devices. In the UAE, it is expected to appear around 9 pm local time, following Apple's usual release pattern. Apple has not given an exact time for the region, so the rollout could start slightly earlier or later than expected.
The update covers a wide range of iPhones. Users will not need to buy a new phone to install it. Compatible models begin with the iPhone 11 series and extend through newer releases, along with the iPhone SE (2nd generation and later).
Support for the software does not mean every device gets every feature. Some Apple Intelligence tools and the newer Siri capabilities need stronger hardware to run. These advanced features are limited to the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air, and the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Siri gets a major upgrade in iOS 27. It will hold more natural conversations and understand personal context with greater accuracy. Apple Intelligence features will also expand further across supported devices, giving more users access to its tools.
The update brings changes to the Liquid Glass interface and adds improved parental controls. It also brings some nifty tweaks to make the iPhone feel more seamlessly integrated within Apple's ecosystem. Apple has extended Apple Intelligence support to compatible AirPods too, as long as they are paired with an eligible iPhone.
To install the update, users can open Settings, then General, then Software Update, and choose iOS 27. Apple recommends backing up the phone beforehand. A stable Wi-Fi connection, along with enough battery and free storage, is also advised before starting.
For UAE users, the update lands just days before the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max go on sale locally on 18th September.
