The UAE Ministry of Finance launched a specialized training program aimed at improving how federal government entities plan, manage and assess assets throughout their lifecycles.

The program will equip federal government employees with skills in artificial intelligence, risk management, lifecycle planning and international asset management standards. The initiative forms part of the UAE's wider efforts to strengthen government financial management and build specialised national capabilities.

Training to Focus on AI and Asset Lifecycle

The Ministry of Finance collaborated with the Asset Management Academy and Turner & Townsend International to deliver Institute of Asset Management training programs and professional certifications across federal entities.

The curriculum will cover core asset management principles, lifecycle management, risk management, performance improvement and strategic planning. It will also examine how AI and advanced technologies can support better decisions and maximise the sustainable value of government assets.

The training will follow internationally recognized frameworks, including the ISO 55000 series. Federal entities can access the programs through in-person, remote and hybrid formats, depending on their requirements.

UAE Expands Digital Approach to Assets

The program is part of the efforts by the UAE to adopt a digital approach towards managing assets of the government. The Federal Government Real Estate Assets Platform was established by the Ministry of Finance in January 2026 as an effort to centralize information about the federal properties.

This allows federal organizations to manage their real estate assets and to make information updates while creating reports and KPIs. Furthermore, the Institute of Asset Management also awarded the Federal Properties Platform of the Ministry of Finance with the UAE Digital Innovation Award in 2026.
