Fuel prices in the UAE increased across all fuel types in September 2026, with the new rates taking effect from September 1. The increase follows a slight rise in August after fuel prices declined in July.
The latest rates come amid continued uncertainty in global oil markets, a fragile regional ceasefire, and ongoing tensions. The UAE Ministry of Energy-endorsed fuel prices are calculated each month based on the worldwide average oil price and the distribution firms' operating expenses.
Super 98 fuel costs AED 3.8 per liter in September, compared to AED 3.6 per liter in August. The price of Special 95 fuel stands at AED 3.69 per liter, while that of E-Plus 91 is AED 3.61 per liter, up from AED 3.49 and AED 3.41, respectively.
The price of diesel in September is AED 4.3 per liter, compared to AED 3.8 per liter in August.
