Dell Technologies and Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions signed an MoU to develop AI-powered solutions for smart cities in the UAE. The partnership will improve urban services, strengthen public safety and help authorities respond faster to infrastructure issues.
Dell Technologies and UAE-based technology company Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions have agreed to work together on artificial intelligence solutions for urban management. On October 13, 2026, during the AI Everything event in Abu Dhabi, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed.
Dell will contribute its AI and computing capabilities and Tahaluf will introduce its in-vehicle technology platform. The partnership aims to make urban maintenance and parking management more efficient. Faster access to information could help service providers manage violations, prioritize repairs, and coordinate responses to incidents.
The initiative highlights the UAE’s focus on using emerging technologies to improve government services and build more connected urban environments. The proposed system will use AI to identify road damage, infrastructure problems, parking violations and public safety incidents. By collecting and analysing information closer to where events occur, the technology aims to help authorities identify problems earlier and take timely action.
Walid Yehia, Managing Director for the South Gulf region at Dell Technologies, said, “AI could help cities become more responsive to the needs of their communities. The collaboration would help organisations identify issues sooner, make informed decisions and improve public services.”
Dr Ahmed Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CEO of Tahaluf, said, “Combining AI with existing fleet vehicles could give service providers better visibility into infrastructure, parking and public safety requirements. The initiative could support safer and more efficient urban environments across the UAE.”
Looking ahead, the results will depend on how the proposed solutions are integrated into existing public sector systems and how effectively authorities use the information they generate.
