Dubai’s brand value has surged to nearly Dh1 trillion, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s global growth story. According to a recent report by Brand Finance, it has become the fifth-most-powerful city brand in the world, moving up from seventh place.
In the current list of top five cities, Dubai has been enlisted alongside those cities that are known worldwide and regarded as the world’s leading business hubs. It previously occupied fifth place in the Brand Finance Global City Index, being outranked only by London, New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
A major contributor to Dubai’s rising brand value is the success of Digital Dubai. Reportedly, the contribution made towards the brand value of the city amounts to approximately Dh31 billion. Digital Dubai also helped increase the City Brand Strength Index of Dubai, enabling it to rank within the top five in the world.
The Brand Strength Index of Digital Dubai was calculated to be 77.7 out of 100, and it received an AA+ grade. This makes it one of the most prominent digital governments of the world.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said, “The results reflect the central role of digital transformation in strengthening Dubai’s competitiveness. The digital ecosystem has evolved beyond basic infrastructure to become an integral part of the experience of living, working, and investing in Dubai, and a key driver of trust and global appeal.”
He further added that the city's rise among the world’s top city brands highlights the effectiveness of its people-focused approach, backed by constant investment in advanced and integrated digital services.
Dubai has also attained an aggregate score of 86 on the city brand index. This reflects strong performance across indicators such as awareness, reputation, and consideration.
According to officials, the success can be attributed to the city's long-term strategy on digitalization and innovation-driven development. The digital ecosystem is one of the most significant contributors to the quality of living and conducting business in the city.
The findings have reaffirmed Dubai’s status as a city ready for the future and continuously attracting talents, investments, and enterprises through advanced technologies and efficient government systems.
