Oura has unveiled its latest Ring 5, with a main focus on refinement. The firm reduces the ring's size and thickness while enhancing health-tracking features. The updated design gives the ring a more jewelry-like appearance rather than that of a traditional tech device.
The smaller size addresses a longstanding complaint that earlier models felt bulky during extended daily wear. Earlier rings were bulky for everyday and long hours of usage.
Tom Hale, chief executive officer at Oura, said, “Oura Ring 5 is a big step toward our vision of giving everybody a voice. By reimagining Oura Ring 5 to be smaller, easier to wear, and pairing it with our most advanced software yet, we’re making it possible for many more people to wear Oura every day and to benefit from the personalized, predictive health insights that come with it.”
Oura redesigns the internal structure. The aim is to accommodate the new technology enclosed within a smaller frame. The product still uses premium titanium material for its ring form. Oura also improved the scratch-resistant properties of its ring. Other major updates of the smart ring include:
Upgraded its optical sensors with stronger signals and better placement.
Improved accuracy of heart rate and heart rate variability.
The ring continues to track sleep, recovery, stress, and activity.
Moreover, the improved hardware ensures more consistent readings, especially during movement.
Oura rolls out an AI-powered health assistant that offers personalized data. The latest additions to the software include warnings regarding changes in blood pressure and breathing.
The company also moves into guided health tracking, supporting patients using GLP-1 treatments. Oura aims to promote the ring as a means of prevention rather than mere monitoring. Users can enjoy one week of battery life before needing to recharge.
The Ring 5 is priced at around 1,465.33 AED and includes additional features with the monthly plan. Its release will be available starting in June 2026. The Oura Ring 5 improves both its design and software capabilities, combining enhanced health insights with AI.
