Samsung is planning one of the biggest changes to its Galaxy S lineup in recent years. Leaks suggest that a new Galaxy S27 Pro is in development, further expanding the tech giant’s flagship offerings.

Several sources have confirmed that the Galaxy S27 Pro has been spotted alongside other devices in the Galaxy S27 range. This would mean a potential four-device flagship lineup that includes the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung has made no official announcement yet.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro Emerges in Early Listings

As reported by OvrPlus, “The devices’ model numbers provide insights into Samsung’s market and production strategies. In the database, the Galaxy S27 Plus model is listed as SM-S956U. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to be the family’s top-tier model. This is registered under the model number  SM-S958U.”

The Galaxy S27 series model numbers highlight that Samsung may be preparing to release its next-generation flagship smartphones. The tech company may launch the following models:

  • Galaxy S27

  • Galaxy S27 Plus

  • Galaxy S27 Pro

  • Galaxy S27 Ultra

The smartphone is reportedly being developed for consumers who want flagship features without the larger size of the Ultra model.

Galaxy S27 Pro Could Fill a New Premium Segment

Experts suggest that the Galaxy S27 Pro might have a small 6.47-inch display and borrow some high-end features that have been exclusively available on the Ultra version of the Galaxy phones in the past. While there is no concrete confirmation, this follows the growing demand for smaller flagship smartphones.

Industry insiders predict that the Galaxy S27 Pro could include the Privacy Display feature, first introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This particular feature restricts the viewing angle of the display.

Reports also suggest that the next generation of Galaxy S27 phones could make use of the new UFS 5.0 storage standard. The Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch in early 2027.
