Samsung appears set to expand its flagship smartphone lineup with a new Galaxy S27 Pro model. New leaks from an insider Kro on X suggest that the device may feature a 6.4-inch OLED display and a 5,000mAh battery. Thus, positioning it between the standard Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The upcoming model is expected to target users seeking flagship-grade performance in a more compact form factor. If launched, the Galaxy S27 Pro would become a fourth model in Samsung’s premium Galaxy S series lineup.
Kro (@kro_itnyang) claimed in a post that the Galaxy S27 Pro will have a 5,000mAh battery unit. If accurate, the Pro variant will have a smaller battery than the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which is rumored to feature a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity ranging from 5,500mAh to 6,000mAh. It would also match the battery of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Pro model is said to ditch the S Pen.
Samsung is working on the Galaxy S27 Pro model with a 6.4-inch OLED display. This display size would place the device between the standard and larger variants while maintaining a more compact form factor than the Ultra model.
Users can also expect the display of this upcoming smartphone to feature some premium specifications, found in higher-end models. Some rumors point to the possibility of using Samsung's Privacy Display technology in this smartphone.
Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to feature cutting-edge camera technology and high-end screen tech. Samsung will reportedly not incorporate the S Pen into it so as to distinguish it from the Ultra while keeping it sleeker and lighter.
Industry experts feel that this smartphone can potentially fill Samsung’s void left behind by Apple’s Pro range of iPhones with its flagship-level specs in a compact design. Samsung's Galaxy S27 lineup is scheduled for early next year, 2027. However, an official comment is yet to be made by the company regarding the update.
