Dubai’s gaming ecosystem is gaining momentum, with the DMCC Gaming Center recording 30% annual growth and reaching 165 member companies. The hub added nearly 40 businesses over the past 12 months, reflecting growing interest from gaming firms seeking to establish and scale operations in the emirate.

DMCC Expands Gaming Ecosystem

According to DMCC, “The center added nearly 40 companies over the past 12 months, and forms part of its wider technology community of more than 4,000 businesses spanning gaming, artificial intelligence, crypto, Web3 and cybersecurity.”

The Gaming Center brings together developers, publishers, esports companies and other businesses across the gaming value chain. It is part of the larger community of technology businesses established by DMCC. Today it accounts for over 4,000 businesses covering gaming, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, Web3 and cybersecurity. The total ecosystem of DMCC comprises nearly 27,000 businesses. Among these, technology is the largest and fastest-growing sector.

This development reflects a larger trend as Dubai aims to position itself as a regional hub of the technology and digital economy sector. There is a convergence of gaming with artificial intelligence, Web3, and other emerging technology sectors.

Dubai and Serbia Build Gaming Corridor

The latest growth comes alongside a strategic partnership between DMCC and the Serbian Games Association (SGA). The organizations signed the agreement in Cologne during Gamescom 2026, where DMCC is participating through the Dubai Pavilion alongside the Dubai Films and Games Commission.

The partnership aims to strengthen commercial links between gaming companies in Dubai and Serbia. It will support businesses looking to enter either market and expand into wider international markets.

Under the agreement, DMCC and SGA will explore soft-landing support for companies entering Dubai and Serbia.
