Traffic was heavy on major Dubai-Sharjah roads on the morning of August 18. E11 and E311 saw the most traffic. Google Maps showed slow-moving traffic near major junctions, industrial areas and roads close to the Dubai-Sharjah border.

E11 Sees Delays

Traffic on E11 was slow around Al Khan, Al Mamzar and the Al Ittihad Road corridor. Red areas on the map were mainly seen near junctions and places where vehicles join or leave the main road.

Yellow areas show traffic moving slower than normal. Drivers travelling from Sharjah towards northern Dubai may face longer delays near road ramps. These are the points where traffic from local roads joins the main highway.

Traffic was also heavy around Industrial Area 4 in Sharjah. Some nearby roads are moving normally, while other roads are seeing slow traffic and longer queues.

Major Pressure Point

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, or E311, had slow-moving sections, and heavy traffic around Sharjah's Industrial Area and further south towards Muhaisnah.

Several incident icons were visible along the route. These incidents may be adding pressure at junctions and forcing some vehicles to merge or take nearby roads. Motorists approaching E311 from Sharjah's industrial districts could face delays before reaching the highway.

Queues may also form around exit ramps for drivers leaving the main road. Roads around Al Falaj, Dasman and Al Jazeera in Dubai are also seeing slower movement at some merge points.

Road Diversion and Advisory for Drivers

A temporary diversion was in place between Sharjah Industrial Areas 12 and 13 until August 30 for road upgrade work, according to Sharjah authorities. The diversion may increase traffic on nearby roads, especially during the morning rush.

Drivers are advised to be careful on busy roads and avoid sudden lane changes near slow-moving traffic. They should also keep more space between vehicles and allow extra time for their journey.

E611 may be another option for some routes. Drivers should check the live traffic situation before choosing this road. They should also check navigation updates before leaving and select a route based on the latest traffic conditions.
