WhatsApp is expanding its multi-account support for iOS users, which will allow multiple accounts to be managed from a single iPhone. The feature removes the need for separate smartphone and offers greater flexibility for users, balancing personal and professional communication. The latest update expands access to more users and offers a simpler way to manage different personal and work conversations on one phone.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is widely rolling out its multi-account feature on iOS.
Although the social media app announced the functionality earlier this year, availability had remained limited. The broader rollout is taking place through WhatsApp for iOS version 26.22.76. The rollout is taking place in phases, so some users may receive the feature later than others.
The report stated that users can add another account from the account management section within WhatsApp. They can either register the account using a second phone number or scan a QR code to configure it as a linked device. Once the setup process is complete, users can switch between accounts without signing in again.

WhatsApp will keep the chats, calls, notifications, and settings separate. This means that your accounts have their own chat history. Notifications are customized for your accounts. If you choose a specific tone for one account, it will not affect the other. WhatsApp also stores your settings, such as privacy, profile information, and other preferences, individually.
If users want to remove an account, they can use the ‘remove account’ option directly from the app settings. Before proceeding, WhatsApp will suggest backing up the chat history. Additionally, WhatsApp will ask to confirm the phone number before removing the account from the device.
