DLSS 4.5 is now live in Forza Horizon 6. NVIDIA is also rolling it out across several other titles as the RTX 50 series push continues. Frame generation and AI upscaling are the primary focus of this latest upgrade.

DLSS 4.5 Boosts Forza Horizon 6 Performance

Forza Horizon 6 now supports DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi-Frame Generation. RTX 50 Series users also get access to Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation 6X Mode through the NVIDIA app.

At 4K max settings with ray tracing enabled, the game shows a 5.2X average performance boost on RTX 50-series GPUs.

NVIDIA claims frame rates cross the following:

  • 330 FPS on RTX 5090

  • 230 FPS on RTX 5080

  • 200 FPS on RTX 5070 Ti

The game is developed by Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios. It features more than 550 cars set across Japan-inspired environments.

Five Games Get DLSS 4.5 Support

Along with Forza Horizon 6, four other titles now support DLSS 4.5 features.

Directive 8020

Supermassive Games’ sci-fi horror title adds DLSS Ray Reconstruction and Multi Frame Generation support on RTX 50 Series.

Subnautica 2

The early access release includes DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation. RTX 50 users can upgrade via the NVIDIA app.

Blades of Fire

The v2.0 update adds DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and gameplay improvements.

Battlefield 6 Season 3

The shooter continues DLSS integration with Multi Frame Generation, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex across updated maps.

007 First Light Bundle for RTX 50 Buyers

NVIDIA has introduced a 007 First Light bundle for selected RTX 50 Series purchases. Buyers get a Steam copy of IO Interactive's upcoming James Bond game.

Eligible GPUs include RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070, and 5060 Ti models. The game launches on 27 May.

DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation are in at launch. Path tracing and Ray Reconstruction come later in 2026.

Game Ready Driver Update Released

NVIDIA has also released a new Game Ready Driver supporting all newly added DLSS titles.

The update improves performance stability for Forza Horizon 6, Directive 8020, and Subnautica 2. It is available through the NVIDIA app and GeForce.com.

Game Ready Drivers continue to optimize DLSS features, Reflex support, and RTX performance across supported games.

AI Upscaling Becomes Core Gaming Layer

DLSS 4.5 shows how AI is no longer a support feature in gaming. It is becoming a core performance layer. Frame generation is now pushing frame rates beyond traditional hardware limits, especially in high-end RTX systems.

The focus is shifting from raw GPU power to AI-assisted rendering efficiency. This also creates a performance gap between newer RTX 50 Series hardware and older generations. As more games adopt DLSS 4.5, AI upscaling will define how future AAA titles are built and optimized.
