Samsung has begun rolling out Samsung Wallet Perks, a new cashback rewards feature developed in partnership with Rakuten. The service allows eligible users in the United States to earn cash back on purchases from thousands of brands, with rewards credited to their Samsung Cash Card within the Samsung Wallet app.

The feature aims to bring shopping rewards and digital payments together in one place, letting users discover offers, earn cash back, and spend their rewards without switching between multiple apps.

Samsung Wallet Perks: How Cash Back Feature Works

Through the new feature, eligible users can earn cash back from more than 3,500 brands and over 25,000 in-store and dining partners. Participating brands include LEGO, Sephora, Expedia, PetSmart, Gap, and Lands’ End.

Users add rewards to their Samsung Cash Card and can use the money for shopping or dining. Users can also send money to other eligible users through Samsung Wallet. Users can initiate transfers by tapping a Galaxy device against a compatible mobile device or an NFC-enabled debit card.

Personalized Deals and Nearby Offers

Samsung Wallet Perks also introduces personalized offers based on users' shopping activity. A new Nearby feature highlights participating stores and restaurants in the user's area where cash back can be earned.

The feature expands the existing rewards experience beyond online shopping by including in-store purchases and dining offers. Users can discover available deals within Samsung Wallet and earn rewards on qualifying transactions, subject to the applicable offer terms.

Availability and Eligibility

Samsung Wallet Perks is rolling out to eligible users in the United States. Samsung says the Wallet app requires a compatible smartphone running Android 9.0 or higher and a Samsung account. Availability, participating brands, offers, and eligibility may vary.

The new feature is part of Samsung's effort to integrate rewards and payments into a single experience. By bringing Rakuten-powered cash back into Samsung Wallet, the company aims to make it easier for eligible Galaxy users to discover offers, earn rewards, and use their cash back for everyday purchases.
