SpaceXAI has launched Grok Bot, an AI agent designed to work like an independent ‘AI teammate’ and handle workplace tasks with minimal human intervention. The new service is the company’s latest move into the growing AI agent market, where systems are being developed to perform tasks rather than respond to prompts.
Grok Bot operates through its own cloud-based computer environment and can sign into apps, tools, and websites that users already work with. It can then complete multi-step assignments and return to the user when a task is finished or when approval is required.
Users can communicate with the bots from a phone or desktop and assign work without first creating detailed workflows or routines. Multiple bots can also operate at the same time, with one bot managing others assigned to specialized tasks.
According to SpaceXAI, the bots can independently message one another to share context when projects overlap. They can also work in group-chat environments to coordinate tasks and decide ownership.
The system is designed to retain workflow context and learn how users perform specific tasks. SpaceXAI says this allows Grok Bots to preserve a user’s personal style, follow up on abandoned conversations, and resume work from earlier chats.
Grok Bot builds on an internal prototype that was previously used within SpaceXAI for sales outreach, marketing, office operations, bug fixes, and other work.
The company says the bots are intended to become more proactive over time, potentially identifying work that needs to be done before users specifically ask for it and recognizing when human attention is required.
The launch puts SpaceXAI in direct competition with workplace AI offerings from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft, including ChatGPT Work, Claude Cowork, and Copilot Tasks.

Grok Bot is currently available in beta on desktop and iOS. Access is being offered to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers.
Teams and enterprise customers can join a waitlist for future access. The launch comes as AI companies increasingly shift from chatbots that generate answers to autonomous agents capable of completing tasks inside software environments. Grok Bot represents SpaceXAI’s attempt to make Grok less of a conventional chatbot and more of an AI worker that can take responsibility for completing assignments.
SpaceXAI’s move also comes as the company pushes to expand Grok’s role beyond conversational AI, with agents increasingly becoming a major battleground among leading technology companies.
