Xiaomi is expanding its wearable portfolio with two new products. The company has confirmed the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm and Redmi Buds 8S for the Chinese market this month. Both devices have already opened for pre-orders, with Xiaomi teasing their designs and select specifications ahead of the launch.

The Redmi Buds 8S will go on sale in China on September 22. The smaller Watch S5 41mm is expected to arrive later this month alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed global availability for either product.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm Gets Compact Design

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is a smaller version of the existing 46mm model. It weighs around 36 grams and measures 9.9mm in thickness. Xiaomi has given the watch a traditional circular design, paired with a white ceramic bezel and a diamond-shaped crown featuring 24 facets.

In a post on Weibo, Partner and President of the Xiaomi Group, Lu Weibing, announced on Tuesday. The post explained, “The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm will be launched in China later this month. The smartwatch will be unveiled in the country on the same day as the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series. The Redmi Buds 8s, the tech firm's new TWS, will be launched in the country soon.”

Redmi Buds 8S: Other Key Features

The Redmi Buds 8S takes a different approach to fit with a semi-in-ear design. The earbuds do not use conventional silicone ear tips and are designed to sit closer to the ear. Xiaomi paired the design with an 11mm dynamic driver.

The earbuds will also support Xiaomi HyperConnect for connectivity with compatible Xiaomi devices. The charging case features a pebble-like shape with a horizontal LED indicator on the front.
