Apple is set to bring a major update to Siri in iOS 27. According to a Bloomberg report, the tech giant will shift from its usual waveform interface. The redesign aims to make Siri more visible, responsive, and integrated across the OS.

Siri is expected to adopt a glowing, fluid interface instead of a static animation. The design can feature a soft light that expands and reacts during interaction. This highlights a major switch from a hidden assistant to a persistent visual layer.

Apple Prepares a Visual Reset for Siri

In his report, Mark Gurman wrote, “I wrote in April that the new Siri interface was hidden in the company’s initial promotion for the Worldwide Developers Conference — and Apple is going further with the latest graphics on its websites teasing the event. The new logo has the same colors that will be present in the animation and surrounding text input fields for Siri in iOS 27.” He further added that Apple also aims to stick to a dark theme in this year's WDC.

This update ensures that conversations remain brief and do not fill up the entire screen. In addition, such a move would ensure that Siri becomes an integral part of real-time activity within the operating system. Users can interact with the AI without leaving whatever activity they are engaged in.

The latest update might result in an interaction-first design. Users will be able to interact with Siri using both voice and text input, similar to a messaging app. This would give Siri the edge over its competitors in becoming a more modern AI assistant.

Shift Toward Contextual Intelligence

Looking ahead, Apple could turn Siri into an independent entity, allowing longer inquiries, workflows, and AI-generated replies. This would complement rather than replace the integrated assistant system already in use.

Siri is likely to bring a new update to recognize objects highlighted on the screen and perform tasks based on them. This makes the assistant even more proactive and oriented toward task completion.
