Apple confirmed its next major product event for September 9, 2026, at 10 am PT. The event, titled ‘Surprise and Shine,’ will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. The company will stream the keynote through its website, Apple TV and YouTube Live.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are all set to take center stage. Reports suggest the Pro models will get upgrades to their processors, cameras and display design. A smaller Dynamic Island and other hardware refinements were also tipped. However, Apple did not confirm any specifications.
Apple could also change its usual iPhone launch strategy this year. The standard iPhone 18 is reportedly not expected at the September event. Instead, Apple may launch the regular model, iPhone 18e, and a second-generation iPhone Air in 2027.
The biggest surprise could be Apple’s long-rumoured first foldable iPhone. Reportedly, the device may employ a book-style design and could feature a larger screen when unfolded like a mini-tablet. Analysts see the product as Apple’s entry into a segment currently led by Samsung.
The September event will carry added significance for Apple. John Ternus is scheduled to become CEO on September 1, replacing Tim Cook. Cook will move to the role of executive chairman. The September keynote will therefore become Ternus’ first major Apple product event as CEO.
For Indian viewers, the event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 pm IST on September 9. Apple did not confirm the complete product lineup. Looking ahead, the iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone remain expected announcements rather than confirmed launches.
