Saudi Arabia has launched the AgentX AI Hackathon for Employment and Business Solutions in Riyadh, bringing together developers, innovators, and AI enthusiasts to build practical technology solutions for different industries.
The initiative aims to strengthen local technology talent, connect technical skills with labor market requirements, and create opportunities in the Kingdom’s growing digital economy.
The hackathon was launched on November 3, 2026, in strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The program uses AI to address business challenges while helping participants gain practical experience and explore career opportunities in emerging technology fields.
The AgentX AI Hackathon brings participants together to form multidisciplinary teams that develop prototypes of intelligent solutions based on the needs of various industries.

The hackathon includes virtual training camps, targeted workshops, and mentorship sessions to help participants refine their ideas and build expertise in AI technologies.
These events will be followed by a face-to-face stage when teams will implement their projects and show the results to a jury. This approach aims to offer practical experience in developing business applications and turning initial ideas into real technological projects.
Moreover, it allows participants to get advice from experts while implementing projects that can drive innovation across industries.
The rollout of AgentX comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader initiatives to build digital capacity and future-proof its workforce for labor market demands.
Through its Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Kingdom has been working to strengthen its technology workforce, help its digital economy flourish, and make it more competitive in AI and other advanced technologies.
AgentX also aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on digital transformation, innovation, and technology development.
