Grand Theft Auto 6 is still six months away from its scheduled launch on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games has yet to release Trailer 3 or start official global pre-orders. However, some European retailers in Denmark and Italy have reportedly listed unofficial pre-orders, signaling early retail preparation for the game’s launch.
A Reddit user recently spotted GTA 6 pre-orders at stores in Denmark and Italy. These listings are not part of Rockstar’s official rollout. They also do not confirm pricing or final editions of the game. Still, the appearance of store listings shows retailers are preparing for one of gaming’s biggest launches in recent years.
Take-Two has repeatedly stated that the game will not face another delay, calming players’ concerns after the project’s previous postponement.
The lack of official updates is now becoming one of the biggest talking points around the game. Rockstar has released two trailers so far, both focused on cinematic sequences instead of actual gameplay footage.
Important details are still missing. Rockstar has not shown GTA 6’s online mode yet, despite GTA Online being one of the company’s biggest long-term revenue drivers over the last decade. Pricing details are also unknown, even with the launch only months away.
The latest speculation cycle started after fans believed GTA 6 would appear as Game Informer’s next cover story. This prediction failed after The Blood of Dawnwalker was revealed instead. A second rumor around May 18 also suggested Trailer 3 and official pre-orders were about to drop.
Rockstar has already indicated that GTA 6 marketing will increase during the summer of 2026. This leaves a short window for major reveals around gameplay, online features, pricing, and collector editions before launch.
The current situation highlights GTA 6’s unusual marketing strategy. Most games intensify promotion much earlier before release, while Rockstar is still controlling information, as fan speculation drives online engagement for free. For GTA 6, the company’s silence has now become a part of the marketing campaign.
